About the event
Course Description
A solid understanding of emotional development is foundational to understanding human beings across the lifespan. Yet, in our clinical training, the focus is often placed on mastering specialized therapies or navigating the social, cultural, and relational complexities of our world. In today’s mental health landscape—dominated by individuality and diagnosis—it is easy to lose sight of the foundational theories of human development. Emotional development, often overlooked, is deeply vulnerable to the challenges of life and the impact of early adverse experiences.
This workshop is designed for clinicians working with clients of all ages. While the emphasis will be on childhood emotional development, participants will learn how understanding these early milestones can provide powerful insights into conceptualizing clients’ difficulties and unlock new treatment pathways that foster growth and healing.
