About the event
Course Description
Pornography is one of the most accessible and influential sources of sexual learning for children and youth today. While young people are consuming it—often silently—professionals, caregivers, and educators may hesitate to address it. This training explores the developmental, relational, and clinical implications of pornography use among youth. Participants will gain tools and language to engage in open, informed, and non-shaming conversations about pornography, while deepening their understanding of how it shapes attitudes, expectations, and behaviours in relationships and sexuality.
Training Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
· Recognize the prevalence and impact of pornography use among children and youth.
· Differentiate between healthy sexual exploration and problematic pornography-influenced behaviours.
