Course Description
You’ve read the books, taken the courses, and studied developmental psychology—but when a child client sits across from you, it can feel daunting to know where to begin. This workshop bridges theory and practice by giving you the tools, creativity, and confidence to work effectively with children in therapy. Through playful, engaging, and purposeful interventions, you will learn how to support children in key therapeutic areas such as emotional identification and expression, regulation skills, confidence and self-image, problem solving, friendship building, grief and loss, and trauma narratives. With a focus on creativity, participants will also discover how to transform common art and office supplies into powerful therapeutic tools. You’ll leave this workshop with renewed assurance, a playful mindset, and a toolkit of strategies to make child therapy both effective and meaningful.
