About the event
Course Description
When concerning sexual behaviours (CSB) are discovered in children, adults are faced with the urgent responsibility of ensuring safety—yet responding effectively can feel overwhelming. Over reaction risks stigmatizing and shaming the child, while under reaction leaves other children vulnerable and unsafe. This training equips professionals, caregivers, and foster parents with the knowledge and tools to strike the right balance: intervening in ways that are developmentally appropriate, restorative, and effective. Participants will learn how to design comprehensive safety plans that address immediate risk while also fostering long-term behavioural change, accountability, and healing. With practical strategies, case examples, and a focus on collaboration, this workshop builds confidence in restoring safety, supporting healthy development, and helping children rebuild trust as they demonstrate safe decision-making over time.
